MARTECH: OUR COMPANY STORY

Martech began in 1988 as a sales agency representing several manufacturers. Martech's original running gun was Marv Verlage, selling electrical and lighting products into the construction industry. Later joined by Ray Verlage, Martech took on several municipal infrastructure lines and expanded to Calgary in 1996.

Today, Martech has warehouses and offices all across western Canada and warehousing in Mississauga to serve Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

 
MARTECH: GROWTH
Over the past decade, Martech has seen tremendous growth and we're now poised to explode into Eastern Canada and other regions of North America.

1988 - Established in Edmonton, Alberta distributing lighting and electrical products
1996 - Expanded into Calgary, Alberta with sales office and warehouse to distribute municpal infrastructure and electrical products
2004 - Expanded into Vancouver, British Columbia with sales office and warehouse
2007 - Expanded into the audio/video world with 14 new manufacuters and 10 new salespeople
2008 - New warehouse in Mississauga, shipping product to customers in eastern Canada

Martech's stated goal is to double our influence and sales every five years. Martech is committed to fulfilling our commitment and establishing a strategic sales presence in Ontario. We are currently doing the investigative work to determine the mix of service and products in order to gain a strong market position in the Ontario markets.
