GARY CEBULIAK NEW HIRE STORY
Martech Gary CebuliakSince retiring from teaching, I've worked at numerous warehouses and businesses of various sizes dealing in everything from ice cream to drywall. I was pleasantly surprised at the degree of warmth and the geniune spirit of "welcome" shown me upon coming on board at Martech.

I am so very impressed at the professional and dignified ambiance that permeates the working environment. Everyone from the owners to the salespeople made a point to introduce themselves and ask how I was doing. The team even had a lunch on my first Friday where I was the "guest of honor" and asked to give a background of myself to my new colleages!

My immediate supervisor, Ron Mattison, is a man of patience and integrity. I'm happy working here. This is a team! I feel like an appreciated, integral part of a cooperative effort.

RON MATTISON INDUCTION
Martech Gary CebuliakMy first day at Martech. Wow. It was my first day on a new job in over 25 years. I was greeted my president Marv Verlage who introduced me to everyone in the team and the to the Martech way of thinking.

After the tour I quickly went to work under the tutelage of Jonathan Grant. He made the trek up from Calgary to put me through an intense 3-day on-the-job training regimen.

Going from a large company to a smaller one has been a great move for me. I again have the feeling that I am part of a team that has its eyes on the future. Thanks Martech!

MATTHEW BARNETT NEW HIRE STORY
Martech Matthew BarnettI had spent a few afternoons between final exams doing some introductory tasks before my first "official" day. Nonetheless, everyone made an effort to provide a grand opening atmosphere. I really appreciated the efforts to make me feel welcome. I had balloons at my desk, and a very personal welcome from executive management. I was presented with a professional journal, and a card signed by all of the employees. The bottle of merlot was a classy touch. Marv invited us all to a catered luncheon in honor of all the new additions to the team. I thought that was a nice effort to include everybody in the occasion. Usually this kind of stuff happens when you leave an organization, so it was special to see that happen when I came on board with Martech.

The training for sales staff, and the modules delivered by all the team members, was very helpful in terms of product knowledge and operations. Everyone has been very patient in answering questions, allowing me to take notes, and reviewing steps where needed. It takes a lot of the stress out of entering a new workplace when you feel like what you are learning and doing is part of what everyone else has going on. The tasks and expectations were appropriate, and I got a lot of positive feedback on my progress. Overall, I would say this has been among my best experiences as a new hire to date.

BOB HINDMAN IS A PROMOTIONAL MASTERMIND
Martech BobPeriodically, Martech has special incentives to connect customers with slow moving inventory.

Congratulations to Martech Bob Hindman for receiving the $100 gift certificate for his sales efforts in our Dealer Ballast Spring Promo. Bob sold the most "dead stock" material in the allotted time. Good phone work and follow-up Bobby!
